Width: Up to 14'6" wide is commonly permittable, For loads 14'6" - 16' wide there are certain routes available, anything over 16' is highly restricted
Height: Easy movements up to 14', movement from 14' - 15'6" many route restrictions, loads over 15'6" are highly restricted and a route survey is required

PERMITS VALID FOR:
Single trip permits are valid for five (5) consecutive days.

OPERATING TIME
Sunrise to sunset, during the summer months there is to be no movements from 2:00 p.m. on Friday to sunrise on Saturday, no movement is allowed from 2:00 p.m the day before the holiday or holiday weekend until sunrise the day after the holiday or holiday weekend on the following; New Year's day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas

WEEKEND TRAVEL
Travel permitted Saturday all day and Sunday from sunrise to 12:00 noon, except no move after 2:00 p.m. every Friday beginning Memorial Day weekend thru the Friday after Labor Day as well as all other Holiday restrictions.

Must be broken down to least dimension and/or weight

INFORMATION NEEDED TO ORDER A WIDELOAD, OVERSIZE AND HEAVY HAUL PERMITS:
Applicant's name and address, load description, vehicle description, tractor unit, trailer license, trailer length, overall dimensions, total number of axles, overhang front and rear, gross weight, origin and destination routes.

Police Escort:
Prime responsibility of permittee to determine the need for police escort, Which is automatically required if permittee is not able to yield right of way to oncoming traffic or if vehicle/load will encroach into oncoming traffic lane or if traffic must be directed or controlled Permittee is responsible for police escort fees State may require police for other safety reasons

SPRING WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS
Minnesota does not allow any over axle or axle group legal weights limit movement during spring, usually March 1 through mid-May each year, on non-posted highways, single axle 20,000 max; tandem group 42,000 max; quad group 50,000 *CONTACT STATE FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON RESTRICTED TRAVEL FOR WIDELOADS, OVERSIZED AND OVERWEIGHT PERMITTED CARGO

Overweight, Oversized & Wideload SuperLoads

Loads of 140,000 lbs must submit drawings including axle weights and spacings, need to show which axle caster and show the pivot points. Allow up to five (5) working days for processing
