PERMITS VALID FOR:
Single trip permits are valid for five (5) travel days; Saturday and Sunday are excluded from these
five days
OPERATING TIME
One-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset.
WEEKEND TRAVEL
Saturday until 12:00 noon, no Sunday travel
DIVISIBLE LOADS
Permits will not be issued if the vehicle and load can be dismantled, disassembled or hauled in such
a way that moves can be made within the size and weight limits imposed by the laws of Maryland
EXCEPTIONS
Blades, buckets, etc must be removed and hauled separately; there is a reasonable time restriction
for the removal, if it would take an excessive amount of time to remove, the component may be
moved attached.
INFORMATION NEEDED TO ORDER A WIDE LOAD, OVERSIZE AND HEAVY HAUL PERMIT
Load description, license of tractor, routes, insurance company and overall dimensions, axle weights
and spacings are required for all self-propelled vehicles.

SPRING WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS
No restrictions
Overweight, Oversized & Wide Load SuperLoads
A super load is any load 16’ in height, 16’ in width, 120’ in length and 120,000 lbs, 150,000 lbs on the Interstate, submit a regular application for an oversize/overweight permit including axle weights and spacings, a drawing of the load may be required
Fee - $8 per structure up to 200,000 lbs plus $12 per structure over 200,000 lbs
Application must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the proposed move
