Job Description:
This position arranges truck transportation for shippers that ensures Logistics Group International remains competitive in the marketplace. This position is responsible for increased profitability of L.G.I. while providing the requested shippers service. Responsible for increased volume with existing client base and developing new accounts.
Representative Activities: % of Time
Provide truck transportation
for movement of product that assures service level desired at competitive
rates. 30%
Negotiate freight rates with carriers utilized that allow the service level the customer needs and maintain a profit margin for L.G.I.. 25%
Utilize Transportation Management System to match the needs of both carriers and shippers. 20%
Maintain customer relations and communicate with shippers to increase L.G.I.'s services and the tools available to them. 15%
Communicate to carriers the policies set forth by L.G.I. to become a qualified carrier to protect the company from possible legal ramifications. 10%

Knowledge:
Working knowledge of the company structure,
processes, strategy, and customer base. In depth knowledge of transportation
logistics of truck, rail, ocean and air. Working knowledge of environmental
and legal issues that effect transportation of the various commodities.
Applies and defines corporate policies in a consistent manner.
Skills:
Proficiency with web based computer systems and Microsoft Products.
Written communication skills. To write grammatically correct in a business format.
Strong oral communication skills. Ability to communicate by telephone, one-on-one, may also make presentations.
Proficiency in math to audit and process freight invoices and conduct margin analysis.
Aggressive negotiation skills and decision making.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Abilities:
Maintain the professionalism and high standard required of Logistics Group International, Inc.
Ability to successfully negotiate with customers while matching shipper's needs with reliable carriers.
Increases volume with current customer base and develops new accounts.
Responsive to customer needs and handles complex problems.
Ability to maintain good working relationships with shippers and carriers.

General Information:
The Logistics Specialist works principally with after-the-fact review of work from the Operation Manager or Sr. Specialists in the Branch Office. Specialists work directly with established customers and can handle all routine and most non-routine issues. This position is a revenue producer through rate negotiation and increased volume with current customer base. It does some new account development. Employees must be able to multi-task at this level with non-routine activities
Summary:
L.G.I. is looking for aggressive, motivated Logistics Specialists that is searching for a job with unlimited possibilities in the Transportation Industry. We are willing to offer a three month trial period in which L.G.I. will advance Agent to cover expenses. L.G.I. will have the option to extend the trial period if agent meet's L.G.I.'s expectations. L.G.I. also will reserve the right to terminate agent agreement at any time should agent not meet expectations. L.G.I.'s Logistics Agents salary plus commission range from 25K to 300K with no Salary Cap. Fulltime Only in Houston office and Laredo office and possible home office set ups.
