PERMITS VALID FOR:
Single trip permits are valid for ten (10) calendar days.
OPERATING TIME
Permitted loads may travel 24/7 except from 7:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. in the
following: Jefferson, Boone, Kenton, Campbell and Fayette counties. The bridge at Owensboro
is also restricted from the above times.
WEEKEND TRAVEL
All weekend except super loads

Loads must be broken down as far as possible
EXCEPTIONS
Blades, buckets, etc over 14’ wide must be removed but can be hauled with the load.
INFORMATION NEEDED TO ORDER A WIDE LOAD, OVERSIZE AND HEAVY HAUL PERMIT
KYU number, type of carrier (for-hire, private, etc), load description, vehicle description (tractor
unit, year and make, serial #, license # and state), overall dimensions, gross weight, front and rear
overhang and number of axles. If overweight need axle weight; if self propelled need to provide the
tire size, origin, destination and routes.

Restricted Travel
Jefferson, Boone, Campbell, Fayette and Kenton Counties – no travel from 7:00-9:00 a.m. and 4:00-6:00 p.m., 431 Bridge at Owensboro between KY and IN from 7:00-9:00 a.m. and 4:00-6:00 p.m. vehicles not delivering into Cincinnati area must use I-275 to enter Ohio.

SPRING WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS
No restrictions.
Overweight, Oversized & Wideload SuperLoads
Loads 16’ wide, 15’6 high, 125’ long and 250,000 lbs are considered super loads, axle spacing, weights and routes are required.
Fee is $60.00
Processing of the application takes 5 to 10 working days.
